Mesa County is located on the western slope of Colorado. The Grand valley, consisting of Grand Junction, Fruita, Clifton and Palisade, is surrounded by three distinctive mountains. The Monument, the Mesa, and the Bookcliffs, are all picturesque locations and each offers its own unique attractions for the outdoor enthusiast.

Local cultural events and activities abound, with many choices of entertainment and learning. You can visit museums on local history as well as dinosaur exhibits from local dinosaur digs. There are many local wineries and fine restaurants. We have two local dinner theater cabarets, a Mesa State College theater, as well as the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra. Not to mention musical concerts occasionally held downtown and in other locations.

As you probably already know, Colorado has some of the best skiing in the world. All of the best resorts in Colorado are at most a half a day's drive. Two great ski resorts, Powderhorn and Sunlight, are within an hour and a half away on the Mesa an in Glenwood Springs respectively. So look around, check out the site, and find out what you'd like to know about the area.
